Road-Section-Based Analysis of Vehicle Emissions and Energy Consumption

چکیده
To monitor air pollution on roads in urban areas, it is necessary to accurately estimate emissions from vehicles. For this purpose, vehicle emission estimation models have been developed. Vehicle are categorized into macroscopic and microscopic models. While the calculation simple, utilize average speed of vehicles without accounting for acceleration deceleration individual Therefore, limitations exist estimating accurate when there frequent changes driving behavior. Microscopic overcome these by utilizing trajectory data each vehicle. In method, total a road segment calculated adding together However, most research studies consider section considering difference at different locations selected section. study, between two intersections was divided sub-sections, energy consumption generation were analyzed. Since unique behaviors depending segment, patterns identified. The findings study expected provide more detailed quantitative better modeling areas.

Investigation of Emissions and Energy Consumption of DENA Hybrid Electric Vehicle
Nowadays, environmental pollution is increasing more and more and in the big cities, because of the concentration of the population, is more intense. Air pollution in the big cities has become a serious problem especially in Iran. High fossil fuel consumption of vehicles is a major cause to increase in the amount of air pollution. Using new technology of powertrain, like other developed countri...
متن کاملVehicle-Based Road Dust Emissions Measurements
TRAKER is a vehicle-based method for measuring road dust emissions. Particulate matter is sampled in front and behind a vehicles tire and the difference in PM concentration (TRAKER signal) is used to infer the airborne flux of particles from the roadway. Two independent tests indicated that the TRAKER signal increases as the cube of the speed for a given road dust loading. Simultaneous measure...
متن کاملPlug-in-Hybrid Vehicle Use, Energy Consumption, and Greenhouse Emissions: An Analysis of Household Vehicle Placements in Northern California
We report on the real-world use over the course of one year of a nickel-metalhydride plug-in hybrid—the Toyota Plug-In HV—by a set of 12 northern California households able to charge at home and work. From vehicle use data, energy and greenhouse-emissions implications are also explored. A total of 1557 trips—most using under 0.5 gallons of gasoline—ranged up to 2.4 hours and 133 miles and avera...

Effect of vehicle characteristics on unpaved road dust emissions
This paper presents PM10 fugitive dust emission factors for a range of vehicles types and examines the influence of vehicle and wake characteristics on the strength of emissions from an unpaved road. Vertical profile measurements of mass concentration of the passing plumes were carried out using a series of 3 instrumented towers. PM10 emission fluxes at each tower were calculated from knowledge...
